Mark Weatherbe has brought style, depth and artistry to dozens of films over the
last 20 years. His creativity, intelegence and deep knowledge of the film
industry have allowed him to shine in varied rolls in difficult situations and
under tight deadlines. He is imaginative, engaged and original.
Mark is an actor’s director, having been a working actor in Hollywood and a member of the Screen
Actor
’s Guild. He studied Directing at UCLA where he also learned editing under John
Bregan. He has an innate ability to find the story in the script, identify the
individual beats and guide actors in their craft from the inside outward. This
delivers performances that are gripping, real and memorable.
He is also a highly skilled technical director having directed 2nd unit on
complicated, effects heavy shows in the very demanding Horror and Action
genres, often under difficult conditions in locations around the world and on
tight deadlines. His work as a 2nd unit director has consistently out preformed
that of 1st unit.
Mark has a number of interesting projects in development in London and Los
Angeles where he has deals in place for casting, production and/or
distribution. His work is varied thought provoking and above all audience
engaging.
